St Patrick’s Day around LA - Foody picks!

Our hunt for the elusive Leprechaun continues!

St. Patrick’s Day is on a Saturday this year, so you know we’re out to celebrate!  Aside from our tours in Old Town Pasadena and Culver City, a few events going on around town this weekend have caught our eye - we love checking out festivals and goings-on around our fantastic town!  Paint the town green!

LA St. Patty’s Fest - Sat. March 17th, from 2pm to 5pm

An all you can drink (!) festival sounds like a great way to make merry while wearing your favorite green four leaf clover!  There will be food stalls there too!  This is all going down at The Factory - West Hollywood.  Tickets are $35 dollars (general admission).  If you’re feeling especially festive, VIP tickets are $65 and you get to start the party an hour earlier at 1pm!

LA Live St. Patty’s Festival - Sat. March 17th, 3pm to 8pm

Perhaps you are closer to downtown LA and want to practice your leprechaun jig into the night - a beer garden, cover bands and an LA Kings Fan section can ease your way into St. Patrick’s Day bliss!  A few of the restaurants at LA live will also be having specials - like Trader Vic’s Green Beer!  Sounds adventurous!

Casey’s 40th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival - Sat. March 17th, 6am to 2am

Taking over two downtown city blocks, at Casey’s Irish Pub!  Admission is free, cover bands all day and into the night, food, drinks and over 20,000 people to party with you!  Sounds like a rockin’ time!

Corned beef and cabbage from Ye Olde King's Head

Now for more food!  I know it’s a British Pub but Ye Olde King’s Head does a mean plate of corned beef and cabbage!  There will also be a bagpiper, green beer and rugby fans cheering on England vs. Ireland!

And for the sweet tooth -
Sprinkles is offering a special St. Patrick’s Day cupcake - Belgian Dark Chocolate cake with Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheese frosting!  Get ‘em while they’re around - maybe at the new Sprinkles 24 hour ATM?

Everyone have a GREAT St. Patrick’s Day!

“The food tour is wonderfully paced. You have a lot of REALLY good food, but walking from place to place helps to keep you from feeling stuffed. I’ve been dining in Pasadena for quite a while, but was still shown some wonderful, new (to me at least) spots!”

“Best Los Angeles food tour EVER! I took my gf to this as her surprise birthday gift and she was so happy. I liked all the places the organizers picked. They were very diverse, and the all the food was great.”
